Turn your printer into income
Your printer sits idle most of the day. Neighbours nearby would pay to use it. GrabPrinter makes the match.
Keep 100% forever.
The first 20 printer hosts in Singapore get the 15% platform fee waived — for life. In return, we'd love your feedback as we shape the product.
FAQ
Do I need to be home when someone prints?
Only if you chose self-collection. With Lalamove delivery, a rider picks up the printed document and delivers it.
What about privacy?
Every print job is virus-scanned. You choose your location precision (exact, ±100m, ±500m, ±1km). Exact address is only shown after you accept the job.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes — per-page for B&W and colour separately, plus optional flat fee, minimum, and paper-size surcharges.
What if my agent is offline?
Incoming jobs wait for you to come online. After 30 mins with no response, the requester can get a full refund.
What OS does my printer's PC need?
Today, only Windows 10 or 11. The tiny agent app runs in the system tray, auto-starts with Windows, and prints silently when jobs arrive. Mac and Linux support comes after we get stable Windows traction.
Is 10¢ per B&W page actually profitable?
Honestly, for a 1-page job it's thin margin. Which is why you have three levers — all configurable in your printer settings:
- Minimum job price — e.g. $0.50 or $1. Even a single page then returns a sensible floor.
- Flat fee per job — a fixed add-on regardless of page count, compensates for the collection / unlock-code step.
- Per-page pricing — B&W, colour, and A3 surcharge set independently.
The underlying economics also favour hosts: your printer is already powered on, ink bought, paper loaded. Marginal cost per page is small. Founding hosts keep 100% of what they charge — no platform cut.
Can I see the requester's document before I print?
No, and that's deliberate. You see only metadata: page count, paper size, colour / B&W, copies. The PDF is downloaded by the agent app and sent straight to your printer — it is never shown in any GrabPrinter interface. This protects the requester's privacy and protects you from any liability around the document's contents.
